Earlier this afternoon, high school leadership learned of an anonymous image sent to other students that contained a threatening message. Local authorities were immediately notified and are working closely with our high school team as they investigate the image. Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel all activities inside the high school, including bitty ball, tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 15, as authorities continue their investigation.
Although this is a precautionary measure, we have not received any evidence that this threat is credible at this time. However, in order to ensure safety in our buildings to greatest extent possible, we have decided to postpone all activities to give authorities time to complete their investigation.
We are going to continue to work with law enforcement as they work on their investigation. As soon as more information becomes available to us, we will provide updates for in-person learning for tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 16.
